What a boost buys
A boost buys increased sponsored visibility for a listing. Every verified boost adds to the listing’s one cumulative all-time boost total, which drives its clearly-labelled sponsored placement (explained below). That is all it buys. A boost does not buy or guarantee:
- impressions or clicks;
- enquiries, interviews, contracts, sales, or work;
- any endorsement, recommendation, or quality rating from us; or
- any verification of the listing or the person behind it.
Sponsored position reflects paid visibility — not skill, quality, or approval by GetSeen.
Minimum and amounts
The current launch minimum is $3 USD per boost transaction. Boosts are whole-dollar amounts.
Boosts accumulate
There is a single payment history per listing. Every verified boost permanently adds to the listing’s one cumulative sponsored total — no money is copied, transferred, or held in separate balances. The total stays until the payment is refunded or reversed.
Anyone can boost anyone
Any visitor can boost any approved listing. You do not need to own or control a listing to boost it, and boosting it does not give you any ownership of or rights over it.
Where boosts show
A listing’s cumulative all-time verified boost total drives its sponsored placement — both on the homepage Live Market and in the Sponsored section of directory browsing. It does not reset: a position holds until another listing overtakes it, and every past boost keeps counting toward the total. It is paid visibility, not an endorsement of quality.
Only successful payments count
Only payments that are successfully completed and verified are credited to a listing. Failed, cancelled, pending, or abandoned transactions do not count and do not affect ranking. Ranking credit is applied server-side after the payment is independently verified — never from the browser.
How ranking works
Sponsored results are ordered by a listing’s cumulative verified, successful boost total, with earlier-reached totals ranked ahead on ties. This is a paid ordering, clearly labelled as sponsored, and separate from the organic directory.
Refunds
A boost is a digital visibility service that begins as soon as the verified payment is credited to the listing. For that reason, successfully delivered boosts are generally non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law, or in cases such as a duplicate charge, an incorrect charge, or a platform failure where a boost you paid for was not credited to the listing.
Nothing here removes any mandatory consumer rights you have under applicable law.

- the listing name that was boosted;
- the payment reference or receipt from checkout;
- the date and amount; and
- a short description of the problem.
